This is my favorite pasta to make on the fly. It's quick and easy to put together for the entire family! *Toddler approved!*
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
What You'll Need:
Sausage- I use Aidells Italian Sausage or Premio Sweet Sausage. You can use any sausage you prefer. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
Pasta- Bowtie or Penne works best You can use whatever pasta you like!
1 Onion Chopped
2 Garlic Cloves Minced
1/2 Tbsp Paprika
1 Tbsp Black Pepper
Pinch of Chili Powder
Pinch of Ground Cayenne Powder
Dash of Garlic Powder and/or Onion Powder Optional
Dash of Italian Seasoning Optional
1 Cup of Spinach
Optional Splash of Heavy Cream About 1/4 cup
Alfredo Sauce I prefer Bertolli Classic Alfredo
Splash of Oil
Directions:
Boil pasta in a pot (for about 10-12 minutes).
Splash some oil into a wok or pan. Once heated, throw in your chopped onions and minced garlic. Stir around for a minute or two.
Throw in paprika, black pepper, chili powder, ground cayenne powder, optional garlic and/or onion powder, and optional Italian seasoning. Let the seasonings simmer with the onion and garlic. Brown it.
Add in your sausage and cook according to the package (usually 9-12 minutes).
Before the sausage is fully cooked, throw in your spinach.
Next, add your Alfredo sauce and optional heavy cream.
Strain pasta noodles (add butter to noodles if desired) and add to sausage alfredo pan.
Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese and whatever else you prefer.
Notes
This dish pairs well with garlic bread and some wine! Be mindful of chili powder and ground cayenne powder if you are serving this dish to kids. A small pinch works! Serve and Enjoy!
