Hi there, I’m Phylicia! 👋 I’m a mom, wife, sister, daughter, and aunt. My amazing family includes my husband, our two beautiful kids — a wild, destructive toddler boy and a mini-me princess — along with our eleven-year-old Morkie, Bella, and the newest addition to our crew, a one-year-old cockapoo named Lexi!

In my free time, you’ll usually find me buried in a book on my Kindle, blogging, leading a Christian Women’s LifeGroup, diving into Bible studies, journaling, enjoying motherhood with my little ones, smothering my dogs with kisses, or spending time with my wonderfully growing family — babies everywhere and hearts even fuller!

One of my proudest accomplishments is earning my MBA while pregnant! My pregnancy was a rollercoaster from the start and ended with preeclampsia and an emergency induction at 35 weeks. That near-death experience inspired me to start this site and share my wild, wacky, and wonderful journey through life.

A year after surviving preeclampsia, I faced another set of challenges: I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, spondyloarthropathy (an autoimmune disease), and a brain aneurysm. My friends call me a medical marvel. I call myself blessed and highly favored because I believe God gives His strongest warriors the toughest battles, always with great purpose.

Now, as a recently disabled mom of two, I deeply understand the feeling of isolation and the desperate search for support, encouragement, and real connection. I hope that my journey, my words, and my heart can offer comfort, inspiration, and strength to someone who needs it. Maybe that person is you. If so, welcome!
