No matter who you are and what you do, you’re probably juggling many things daily, weekly, or monthly. I personally need to put everything I have to do on a calendar, otherwise, I would forget. I had the plain old-fashioned calendar colors, which was a bore to look at, especially nowadays when, almost every day, something is going on. I decided it was time for an aesthetic calendar upgrade, and I love it!

My calendar is extremely packed and may give you anxiety if I show you a screenshot of my monthly view, so here is a nicer toned-down view of my current week. 🙂

I use the Apple Calendar and Google Calendar (for its monthly view on my iPhone). I changed the colors on Apple Calendar, which also updates my Google Calendar to a similar color (not as pretty on Google Calendar, but it gets the job done.) I also began adding emojis to tasks and events. It’s so much easier on the eyes.

Here is a free guide to upgrading your calendar like mine!

Upgrade Your Calendar

Step 1: Create Calendars

Below are the calendars that I have created under my Gmail account.

The “Family Calendar” is shared with my husband and the “Shared Family Calendar” I recently created to share with my extended family for family get-togethers and future events.

You can also create additional calendars for repetitive tasks. An example of this for me would be:

Aliyah’s Taekwondo

Bible Study + Religious Events

Doctor Appointments

Kids Doc Appointments

Physical Therapy + Chiro

Aliyah’s School Events

Girls Scout Events + Meetings

It sounds great. However, I’m content with a condensed version.

Desktop:

To create a new calendar in the Calendar App, go to File and hit New Calendar.

Phone:

In the Calendar App, tap Calendars on the bottom, then tap Add Calendar on the bottom left.

Step 2: Share Calendars

Desktop:

To share a calendar, you can select the calendar you wish to share and right-click on sharing settings.

Phone:

To share calendars on an iPhone, you would need to create your calendars under iCloud, Yahoo, or Exchange (not Gmail as I have). In the Calendars app, tap Calendars on the bottom and then hit the “inext to the calendar you wish to share. Next, under Shared With, tap Add Person.

Note: If you have Gmail, you can make changes by going to calendar.google.com.

Step 3: All about the Aesthetics

Time to make your calendar beautiful! Here are the hex codes to use.

Desktop:

First, right-click on a calendar and click Custom color. On the color wheel, click the dropper tool towards the bottom and hover over the color you want on my hex code sheet above.

Phone:

First, tap on Calendars at the bottom, then i next to the calendar you wish to update. Next, tap on color and hit custom. Tap Sliders on the top right and enter the P3 Hex Color #.

Do this for every calendar until all colors are updated.

Completed Calendar Upgrade

This is how your calendar should look on your phone once everything is updated.
