Fall is here… one of my favorite seasons! 🧡
Here are some things you can do this Fall, with or without family! 🙂
(Note: Most suggestions are tailored to NYC and Long Island.)
1) Visit a Farm

Go apple picking, pumpkin picking, or create an Autumn photo op for you and your family.
There are so many things to do at farms. You may find:
Hayrides, Farmer’s Markets, Corn Mazes, Playgrounds, Mini Golf, Petting Zoo, Haunted House, and Haunted Trails
Some farms in Long Island:
2) Attend a Football Game!

For many, Fall means the return of football season! If you’re anything like my husband and I, we love this time of year! Catch a game or two this season!
3) The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Halloween is upon us! The Old Bethpage Village Restoration is hosting the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze starting this Friday, September 30th, to Sunday, November 6th.
4) Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience

My cousin recently told me about this and I’m psyched! If you’re a Harry Potter fan, this is for you!
Starting in October, select areas such as FDR State Park in Westchester, New York, will have the walkthrough forest experience.
If you’re interested, you can snag tickets here!
5) Boo @ The Zoo

Starting October 1st, the Bronx Zoo will begin its annual Boo @ the Zoo. It will run through October 30th.
There will be a Candy Trail, Pumpkin Trail, Boo Playground, Extinct Animal Graveyard, Costume parade, Halloween Crafts, Magic & Mind Reading, Trick or Truth Trail, Pumpkin Carving Demos, and a Wildlife Theatre.
6) Dinosaur Safari

The Bronx Zoo also offers the last chance to visit their Dinosaur Safari, which concludes at the end of October.
7) Bayville Scream Park

They have Kids Not-So-Scary Days at Bayville Scream Park or if you’re looking for thrills without the kids, check out here!
8) The Amazing Maize
Like mazes? The Queens County Farm is offering its annual Amazing Maize Maze.
9) The Witches Brew

The Witches Brew via Facebook
Looking for somewhere to eat? Fall brings to mind The Witches Brew, located in West Hempstead, New York.
I’ve only been there once, but everything I had from their menu was delicious!
You can check out their Facebook page here!
10) Frozen & Encanto – Disney On Ice

From Disney on Ice
This year, Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto. If your kids are obsessed like my daughter is, check out if they will be coming near you here!
11) Visit a Vineyard

The east end of Long Island is known for its wineries. Many Vineyards accommodate families and are kid-friendly.
Some vineyards to consider:
Harbes has SO MANY things for kids to do, from giant slides, an obstacle course, farm animals, a maze, playgrounds, a flower field, bunny, chick, and bee observatories, and a sports zone where the family can play football, basketball, and baseball, to a kiddie playland, and giant sandboxes.
They offer Apple and Pumpkin Picking, Corn Mazes, Spooky Night Maze, and Fall Hayrides for Fall.
12) Milleridge Inn

Milleridge Inn via Facebook
The Milleridge Inn in Jericho, New York, always has something to offer, from brunches to kid-friendly events such as Breakfast with the Paw Patrols.
The Inn will have a Halloween Village starting October 7th. They will have a haunted house, pumpkin patch, bounce houses, mini golf, escape room, and a spooky train.
You can check them out here!
13) Halloween House- Long Island

This is an indoor Halloween attraction located in Westbury, New York. They also have a location in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
There are rooms with different Halloween themes, such as Stranger Things and The Night Before Christmas. No actors or things are popping out to scare you, which makes it family-friendly for all ages.
Find one near you here.
14) Escape Room- Halloween Edition
Challenge Escape Rooms are offering Halloween Edition escape rooms if you dare.
They have two locations on Long Island- Rockville Centre and Franklin Square.
Check it out here.
15) Drive Through Your Neighborhood

If you’re anything like me, I enjoy finding houses nearby that do the most during the holiday season. Last year, my husband and I saw houses that went all in, including a house with a light and music show for Halloween. You’ll be surprised how entertaining it is exploring through your town.
Happy Fall! 🍂 🎃
